NEW PROJECT – Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders’ Regimental Museum

A fresh project full of ambition

A brand new and ambitious project, PLB is currently working with The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders on a major redevelopment of their museum at Stirling Castle.

The opportunity to work alongside The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders’ Regimental Museum was a project that PLB could not miss out on. PLB has successfully completed projects for various military museums and this has created a wealth of transferrable knowledge and understanding on how to present the pride and traditions of a regiment, whilst drawing out their individual qualities.

team work

“This offers a compelling challenge to explore the history of the regiment and present their story through an interactive and thought provoking museum, which attracts audiences of all ages” says Jamie McCall, Creative Director, “our plans include utilising the original architecture, whilst revisiting the spatial layout and working with the Museum and Stirling Castle to create a really unique visitor offer.”

Working closely with the Argylls’ team, PLB identified themes to resonate with those who may not have direct knowledge of military history. Bringing to the fore the human story of the soldiers & their families, PLB is working with the client to reflect the soldier’s values of courage, discipline, respect & integrity, in order to bring a cohesive and engaging narrative across the Museum.

This exciting heritage project is due for completion in mid 2019.
