Meet the team – Dr Dan Johnson, Interpretive Consultant
Dan is an award-winning public historian with a passion for telling stories. His love for all things historical has led him to deliver a wide range of interpretation projects, from local charities to national and international museums.
What job would you like to have other than your own?
Architect/interior designer – I would like to design and build my dream home one day.
What is your greatest achievement?
Finishing my PhD and winning awards for my research along the way – I thoroughly enjoyed sharing my work with audiences around the world.
What makes you most annoyed?
When technology can’t keep up with my ideas.
What is your biggest mistake?
Not training my cocker spaniel, Bella, and losing two pairs of slippers as a result.
What do you need to make life complete?
My four humors: Earl Grey, Marmalade, Gravy and Real Ale.
Why do you make a difference?
Because museums and heritage sites have the ability to change the way people see the world, and I want to be part of that change.
