‘An Evening with Agatha Christie’

PLB is thrilled to be sponsoring this special HistFest event which is being virtually hosted in partnership with the British Library.

Celebrating the undoubted Queen of Crime Fiction it promises to be an exciting evening calling on your detective powers to discover the truths hidden between the secrets and lies.

It includes panel discussions on The World of Christie and Christie and Crime Fiction with guests: Mark Gatiss, Sarah Phelps, Vaseem Khan, Sophie Hannah, Rachel Howzell Hall, James Pritchard both hosted by historian, author and founder of HistFest Rebecca Rideal.

An Evening with Agatha Christie

The event concludes with an audio performance of The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, recorded live on stage at the British Library in 2015. The book itself was voted, by the British Crime Writers’ Association, the best crime novel ever, and is one of Christie’s most well known, perhaps most controversial novels. Look out for the twist!

Therefore as Hercule Poirot himself says ‘You should employ your little grey cells’ – you may discover your next calling…
