A model experience
Bekonscot Model Village & Railway in Buckinghamshire is the world’s oldest original model village, opening for the first time in 1929.
PLB were commissioned to create and deliver an immersive experience within Bekonscot’s new function room. Using setworks, props, graphics and digital media, visitors are transported into the miniature world of High Shrunkham Junction, a fictional 1930’s station from outside in the model village.
Creating a sense of scale
Our other-worldly work on this project included:
- Interpretive Planning: Developing key themes and stories
- Exhibition Design: Creating a fun, educational learning space
- Graphic Design: Visualising the sense of scale in a fun and exciting way
- Production, Installation and Contractor Management: Overseeing the project from concept to completion.
- Script Editing
In addition to being an interactive and educational space, visitors get to experience first-hand what life is like when you’re ten centimetres tall.
