Charles Dickens Museum

Charting the origins of a legend

Opportunities to explore

PLB was commissioned to bring to life Charles Dicken’s only surviving London home, through the development of a successful HLF Round 2 bid, and subsequently, the design implementation. By working closely with the client team, historic house specialists, conservation architects and an access consultant, PLB were able to develop an original approach to interpreting the Grade I Listed building, increasing physical, sensory and intellectual access.

Visitors can discover fully accessible recreated period rooms, Immersion in the atmosphere of a home, integration of interpretations, and overall, an engaging family friendly tour.
